An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team at Mayfield Garden Centre as Plant Area Manager.
You will be responsible for managing the outdoor plant department which has an extensive and well stocked range of plants. You must have experience or have horticultural qualifications along with experience in garden centre retailing.
•Planning & supervising staff resources for daily running of the department
•Ensuring all stock is clearly and accurately priced and always looking fresh
•Ensuring a good level of customer sales and service is offered at all times
•The successful candidate will have strong plant knowledge
•Good supervisory experience within a retail background
•Be a good communicator with a focus on customer service
•Happy to work as part of a team or on your own initiative
You will need to be able to manage your department to achieve sales and profit targets whilst motivating your team to maximise all sales opportunities and inspiring them to offer the highest standards of customer service. You must have the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, have a passion for plants, be highly motivated, commercially aware and able to create dynamic, inspirational displays.
